My name is Rick Bartram (he/him), I’m a picture editor currently based in Toronto, but I hail originally from Nova Scotia. My passion is in scripted storytelling; whether feature-length film, series television or short film, if the story is compelling I’ll want to cut it!
I’m an alumnus of the prestigious Canadian Film Centre’s Cineplex Film Program. I also hold a BFA in Film Production from the Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) as well as a BA from the University of Kings College, where I studied literature, history and cinema.
I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredible collaborators and fiercely talented folks. Together our work has screened at festivals across the world including Raindance, Hot Doc’s International Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival, Mill Valley Film Festival, Reykjavík International Film Festival, and many others. Our work has earned recognition and multiple awards over the years and I’m thrilled to have been nominated for three Canadian Cinema Editor’s Awards for best editing.
